McCunn had received someelementary education in Glasgow, andafter coming to Wisconsin he attendeddistrict school, also the high school atWaupaca, afterward teaching for a seasonor so, at the same time keeping up hisstudies. In 1882 he entered Milton Col-lege, intending to take a full collegiatecourse; but impaired health prevented hiscompleting it. During the summer of1883 he visited his old home in Scotland,.
