Audience members including service members, veterans, and citizens stand during the singing of the National Anthem at the State Capital during a tribute launch event, Lansing, Michigan, Aug. 21, 2022. The event paid tribute to honor 7,054 military members who lost their lives during combat operations since 9/11 and the Michigan National Guard is ensuring no one is forgotten and their legacy continues. More than 200 Michiganders gave their lives during the War on Terror.
