A window in the cloud appears over a moody sea at Bass Point, Shellharbour NSW Australia

I find it very hard to rest if the conditions are right. An offshore low pressure system had been depositing alot of rain over the last day, and now that I decided to sit in the 'Sun room' and read a book, the weather started to break. Naturally I got itchy feet syndrome, and kept rereading he same paprgraph in between glances outdoors. I knew where I want to be so after half an hours procrastination, I took off to Bass Point, a new place to discover. Arriving amidst a heavy downpoor I sat in the car for the 10 minutes of torrential rain thinking 'should have stayed home', but then it stopped. It wasnt long before I found this rock with Lichen on one side, the wind was howling and the seas were rough. I kept waiing for the Sun but time was against me. I just needed something to happen. Then a window of blue in the sky opened outside the frame. As it drew nearer the hole started to cloud up, I kept trying to mentally move it closer and then it was in the frame. A few images and it was all over. The sun had passed behind cloud that looked set not to reveal it, while another rain front was rocketing in. I packed up, returned to the car and it poured. Now I could relax. Alpa 12 SWA, Schneider 47mm, Leaf 75s, 2stop ND Grad
