Roses are selling at prices varying from $7 per hundred on short-stemmed stock to $30 per hun- dred on the best grades, with Premier the heaviest seller, followed by Colum- bia. Carnations are becoming a little more plentiful at from $6 to $8 per hun- dred for the best grades. Bulbous stock is coming in heavily and includes Paper White, Golden Spur and tulips. Paper Whites are hard to move at any price, although the retailers are asking $6 per hundred for them and $6 per hun- dred for tulips, while most of the whole- salers are getting $8 per hundred for Golden Spur. Freesias are moving well at $6 per hundred, while cut hyacinths are bringing $10 per hundred. A good supply of short-stemmed calendulas is to be had at from $3 to $5 per hundred, while extra good lilies of the valley are moving at $8 per hundred and snapdrag- ons bring from $8 to $12 per hundred.
