Scirrhus of the kidney is a very rare disease ; I have met with it only oncein the human subject, though I have several times seen it in the hog. Theorgan, in the case to which I refer, was at least six times the usual bulk. Itadhered to the liver, colon, and wall of the abdomen, and formed a big tumorwhich could be prominently felt in the right lumbar regio
