A red and black anemonfish photographed in the Eastern Fields, Papua New Guinea
In contrast to other most ocean reefs, Papua New Guinea’s Eastern Fields has no surrounding islands. The lack of runoff and the rich nutrient currents afford fabulous visibility, vibrant coral, and abundant biodiversity. This image of a red and black anemonefish (Amphiprion melanopus) was captured on a visit to the fabulous dive destination in 2005.
