The 332d Air Expeditionary Wing held a memorial ruck in honor of those lost during Extortion 17 in Afghanistan on August 6, 2011 at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia on August 7, 2022. There were 38 occupants aboard the CH-47D Chinook when a Taliban fighter shot a rocket-propelled grenade at the helicopter causing it to fall from the sky.
