Monument at the Museum of Pawiak Prison, the largest German prison in the occupied Poland’s capital during the WW2.


Pawiak was the largest Gestapo prison in Warsaw in years of German occupation during WW2. Approximately 37,000 people were murdered on the premises and another 60,000 were sent to German concentration camps.
