Renamed since November 2014 The Royal Stoke University Hospital 24th July 2012; Public and environmental health experts from the Health Protection Agency (HPA), the Health and Safety Executive, the NHS in Stoke and Stoke-on-Trent City Council are jointly investigating seven confirmed cases of Legionnaires’ disease in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. All seven patients are now being treated at University Hospital of North Staffordshire - two patients remain stable, the remaining patients are improving.
