Junior age children in a classroom at primary school, with a teacher using a sewing machine, needlework lesson, Cambridge, England, UK - circa 1918

Restored image. On the reverse of this 'Real Photograph Postcard' it states D. (Dora) Apthorpe Photographer, 280 Cherryhinton Rd., Cambridge. Dora Apthorpe became a member of the Cambridge and District Photographic Society (proposed in the minutes of 6 Jan 1920). Known working dates for this photographer (Kelly's directory ) are from 1922-1933 (source: Cambridgeshire photographers). But believe this image to be earlier looking at hairstyles and wide collars of the boys' shirts and length of the lady in the foreground's skirt.
