Many beautiful varieties have been introduced, some with flat petals, others reflexed, incurved or curiously twisted; but nearly all are without formality or stiffness, and practically all of them are leaders as cut flowers, bearing their large perfectly formed blooms on long, stiff stems, and standing in good condition longer than most kinds; furthermore, they are of easy culture, and seem to adapt themselves to and succeed under the most varied conditions, a combination which assures their continued popularity. Bob Pleuse. An effective fancy variety of large size with deep crimson maroon flowers, each petal having a white tip. A sturdy grower, free and early flowering. 75 cts. each. Bon. A brilliant rich velvety blood-red. A well-built large flower on long stiff stems. 75 cts. each. Bueno. A large, deep, well built, beautiful flower, very original in coloring, a burnished copper, shading to bright yellow at the centre with the entire flower slightly suffused with rose; a tall grower that produces its flowers freely from early until late in the season on good stems; a splendid keeper, fine for exhibition and as a cut flower. $ each.
