A courtly hunting hanger, Johann Stroblberger in Munich Mid-19th century. The single-edged blade fullered, etched from forte to medium, blued and gilt. Nickel silver knuckle-bow hilt with remains of silver plating, intricately chased in relief, stag horn grip and heavy lion head pommel. The leather scabbard decorated en suite with nickel silver mounts and by-knife, the back of the locket inscribed with the maker's signature.
