ALLEN is successfully engagedin agricultural pursuits upon the old home farm inScott township, Wayne county, where he was bornJuly 7, 1861, a son of Abram Allen, a soldier of theCivil war, whose birth occurred in Otsego county,New York, May 26, 1820. The paternal grand-father, Justin Allen, also devoted some time to mili-tary service, being a member of the United Statesarmy in the war of 1812.
