St Hywyn's Norman & Medieval church, Aberdaron, W end with C12th doorway, view SE to Ynys Gwylan-fawr & Ynys Gwylan-fach (R). The principal parish church of Lleyn, built near the SW tip of the Peninsula & the embarkation point for pilgrims to Bardsey Island. N aisle (L) was original nave & chancel, S aisle (R) added in C16th. The poet R. S. Thomas was vicar here 1967-78. Slate headstones of Williams family 1873 (L) & 1861 (R).
