The traffic count shows 538 vehi-cles daily, of which per cent, weremotor driven. In 1911, 434 sections were added to thisroad some distance below the village ofTrenton. The pavement was 15 ft. URFACE of Fort Road, 1910 badly scaled. ^ 7 inches thick, built of washed pebblesand sand for the aggregate, using a1:1%: 3 mix. The count for this stretchof road shows as follows: 165 longitudi-nal cracks, 17 transverse cracks, 13 diago-nal cracks and no holes, a total of 195defective sections or per cent. In 1912, the gap between this piece ofroad and the southerly limits of the vil-lage of Trenton was closed in with asimilar pavement to that just described,comprising 213 sections. The count onthis piece shows defects as follows: 14 Noveml>er, 412 MUNICIPAL ENGINEERING longitudinal cracks, S transverse cracks,4 diagonal cracks and no holes, makinga total of 26 sections or per cent. The same year there was added to thesouth end of the work done in 1911 some-thing over two miles of concrete road-way, but of this only 208 sections werecounted.
