The loop should be spread beforepinning and the ends cut diagonally or in a V shape. Ribbonvelvet may be made into very effective loops and ends but cannotbe as successfully wired and made to take the place of standingtrimming. When using wired ribbon loops entirely for high trimming,they may be fastened high up on the crown instead of at thelower edge, thus saving a large amount of ribbon in the lengthof the loops.
