Its canal opens into the caecum,passing through its wall obliquely^ thereby forming a valvularopening. Its mucous membrane lining differs from that ofthe caecum. Dissection.—Clear the ascending, transverse and descending colon ofshreds of meso-colon and omentum. 5.
