Broad Street, Birmingham, 8th May 2023 - Revellers descended onto Birmingham's Broad Street on Sunday evening for a royal afterparty. The police were also out in force and had to wrestle one man to the ground after he resisted arrest following an earlier incident at a nightclub. Police also attended several other incidents along the infamous strip as tempered flared. One woman was wheeled into an ambulance by paramedics holding onto a sick bag. The police were also out in force and had to wrestle one man to the ground after he resisted arrest following an earlier incident at a nightclub. Police also attended several other incidents along the infamous strip as tempered flared. One woman was wheeled into an ambulance by paramedics holding onto a sick bag. Most revellers wore standard weekend outfits but a few still hung on to the celebrations wearing Union flag hats and King Charles III masks and big ears. The partygoers had watched the Coronation Concert before coming out, enjoying a night of entertainment for themselves knowing that they don’t have to go to work on Bank Holiday Monday.
