Marines from the 1st Marine Division, along with Vietnamese refugees, collaborated on building a school and playground for the children in New Life Hamlet during the Vietnam War. The school was constructed by the Marines, and books and school supplies were donated by 1st Division personnel stationed in Chu Lai. Photograph captured by Cpl. Atherton NISH on May 19, 1966.
