These men fish using tall conical nets that they use to trap fish inside, between the surface and the shallow lake bottom. They use spears to catch the fish. Using one leg to drive the oar once it is secured under the arm, they are able to precisely maneuver their boats above the fish while holding the nets high, ready to drop it down.
