Runners, families, and supporters gather at the National Mall in Washington, in preparation for the start of the Marine Corps Marathon 10K, Oct. 30, 2022. The MCM10K is hosted the same day as the 47th Marine Corps Marathon and is one of the largest marathons in the known as 'the best marathon for beginners'. The MCM doesn't offer prize money, earning its nickname, “The People's Marathon.”
