Bullocks shading outside of an art deco mansion turned into boutique hotel The Bangala in Tamil Nadu, India. Chettinad's mansions were built by the Nagarathars, also known as Chettiars, bankers and merchants who made their fortunes ferrying teak, marble and lacquer, among other things, around Asia during the height of the British Raj. Largely abandoned, most have since been dismantled and sold piece meal as antiques. Creation in black & white
