After teaching for some years in Alabama,he returned to Massachusetts. He married late in life, February 11. 1845, Caroline M,Gore, who was born .August 8. 1817, and died in 1905. Abigail May, sister of CharlesMay, married Amos Bronson .Mcott, and their daughter. Dr. Sewall and ofChief Justice Sewall. Colonel Joseph May was a prominent citizen of Boston, one ofthe founders of the Massachusetts General Hospital.
