"Corporal Joseph W. Kranznik of C Company, 3rd Medical Battalion, and Major General Levis W. Walt, 3rd Marine Amphibious Force Commander, place a plaque on the altar of the first chapel dedicated for Marines in the Danang area. The bronze plaque memorializes those who have sacrificed and perished in service to their country and the Republic of Vietnam. Corporal Kranznik oversaw the chapel's construction."
