Stoat (Mustela erminea), artwork. This is a small carnivorous mammal, found in most of the northern temperate, subarctic and Arctic regions. The tail tip is a characteristic black colour, with the rest of the fur being brown with white on the underside. It feeds mostly on small rodents, such as voles and mice, but will also feed on rabbits, hares and small birds.
