Lockheed XC-35, The Lockheed XC-35 was a twin-engine, experimental pressurized airplane.


Lockheed XC-35: In what has been an unheralded program, NACA pilot Herbert H. Hoover intentionally flew the pressurized Lockheed XC-35 into thunderstorms to gather data on the effects of severe weather on aircraft. These flights were following years later by Langley studies conducted with a Convair F-106 and a Learjet.
