Children : three sons, three Carew died June 30, 1843, ^^ ^he seventy-first yearof his age. Joseph Carew, Jr., son of Joseph and Laura (Bugbee)Carew, was born in Springfield, Mass., September 5, the early part of his life he worked in his fathers tan-nery, which was near his residence, corner of Main andCarew streets, and on the farm now covered by the WasonCar Works, Brightwood.
