Mr. Wilbor is the son of Samuel, Jr., andElla (Gifford) Wilbor. He married Fran-ces C. Gifford, June 29, 1898, and they havetwo children, Anson G., Jr., and MiriamFrances Wilbor. Wildman, Leonard Delacour (, 90),was born in Danbury, Conn., October 13,1868; son of Alfred Nerum and Ella (Dela-cour) Wildman. His fathers ancestors wereEnglish settlers in Connecticut about 1630;his mothers, French Huguenots who fled toHolland and arrived in America about 1618. WiLDMAN connected with the installation of the dyna-mite guns on board the Vesuvius; the installation of the pneumatic plant on monitor Terror; the installation ofgas-compressors for pumping natural gasthrough the States of Ohio and Indiana; andexperimental work with compressors for thehigh pressures used with pneu-matic locomotives^ carbonic-acid-gas, and refrigerating machines. In 1898, before war was de-clared with Spain, Mr. Wildmanwas selected by the chief signalofficer of the United States Army,for the position of aeronauticalengineer to the Signal Corps. Onthe breaking out of the war hewas appointed first lieutenant in ,; the Volunteer Signal Corps, andput in command of the secondsection of the Balloon Corps.
