5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Nov. 19, 2016) Sailors and Marines use fire hoses to push a barrel of aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) during a damage control competition held aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Whidbey Island (LSD 41). Whidbey Island is deployed with the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
