SAN DIEGO (Aug. 24, 2018) Capt. Theron C. Davis departs the Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Hampton (SSN 767) after being relieved as Hampton’s commanding officer. Cmdr. Phillip Sylvia Jr. relieved Davis as the commanding officer of Hampton during the change of command ceremony, a military tradition representing the formal transfer of responsibility for a unit from one officer to another.
