All kinds of vehicles including tanks exhibit at Hampton Wick Summer Festival 2013. Organised by the Hampton Wick Association, this festival occurs while Hampton Wick High Street is closed to traffic for the Ride London cycle race. Capitalising on the flood of new visitors, local pubs and shops benefit from closure of the street. Hampton Wick is a historic village situated in Richmond Borough, across Kingston Bridge from the commercial shopping centre. It is an expensive area to buy property because of its excellent schools and amenities including two Royal Parks and the River Thames close by. Hampton Court Palace hosts the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show annually. Home Park was originally Henry Eighth's hunting ground. Cardinal Wolsey's cottage is also situated in Hampton Wick.
