Proboscis fully developed ; palpi upturned, reaching above vertex of head, the 3rd joint moderate and obtuse; antennte bipectinate with short branches dilated at extremity and ending in a bristle; tibia; with the spurs moderate ; build stout. Fore wing broad; vein 3 from near angle of cell; 4, 5 from angle; 6 below upper angle; 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 stalked, or 11 from cell. Hind wing with the cell long ; veins 2 and 4 from angle ; 3 and 5 absent; 6 from or just below upper angle. Sect. I. Hind wing of male with vein 6 from just below upper angle ; a fringe of long hair on vein 1 of fore wing below. A.
