Researchers preparing an anesthetised pig (Sus sp.) for a PET-CT (Positron Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography) scan to examine the effects of obesity on the blood-brain barrier. The pig has been injected with a contrasting agent that will show up on the scan. This work is part of a study on hormonal regulation and feeding behaviour in farm animals.
