2C-B or 2,5-dimethoxy-4-bromophenethylamine. Molecular model of the psychedelic drug 2C-B (). This member of the 2C family was first synthesized in 1974 by Alexander Shulgin. Its effects are often compared to a mixture of a serotonergic psychedelic and MDMA. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white), nitrogen (blue), oxygen (red) and bromide (brown). Illustration.
