The 'Clive House' or 'Bara Kothi' is known as one of the oldest buildings in Kolkata, constructed before the invasion of Calcutta (Kolkata) by Siraj-Ud-Daulah, and built over a mound in Dum Dum, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is believed to have been built by Robert Clive after his victory in the Battle of Plassey in 1757, at a site where a Portuguese or Dutch factory previously stood. The structure showcases a beautiful blend of oriental and Georgian architectural styles and is recognized as a monument of national importance.
