Cahuita National Park, next to the small town of Cahuita on Costa Rica;s eastern, Caribbean coast, protects tropical rain forest and a marine area of beaches and coral reefs. It is a haven for wildlife including many species of beautiful tropical fish. The park was established in 1970. The coral reef is close to the beach and snorkelling with guides is available within the park.
