A Roman ointment vessel shaped like a Satyr´s head, 2nd century Bronze with greenish patina. Vessel shaped like the three-dimensional head of a young Satyr with chin beard, pointed ears and curly hair. Two loops on the side with intact carrying handle, hinged, round lid. Height without handle 9 cm. Provenance: Private collection in the USA, ex Christie´s, New York, 12 December 2002.
