It is of the same type as Hiawatha on which it is a decided improve- ment, the flowers being larger, more freely produced and of more brilliant coloring, an intensely rich crimson-scarlet. Star of Persia. A brilliant new Rose with flowers on the order of the lovely old Harrison's Yellow, semi-double, bright yellow, and about 3 inches across. It makes a striking low climber or pillar Rose from 8 to 10 feet high, bursting into showers of sparkling bloom in June. It does not fade and the flower trusses last several weeks. The Beacon.
