As soon asthe direction of rotation ofthe casing is reversed the rollsare freed from their contactand the casing is moved backward independent of the block. In order to hold the other set inoperative, a cover plate is placed over the face of the ratchet block and fastened to it by two bolts, G, G. At the points where these bolts pass through the plate are two grooves which allow the plate to turn. This plate is fitted with six retaining pins, H, H, H.
