A sensitive plate of proper dimensions isfirmly fixed by a clamp and bracket to a stand in front of the affectedregion. A tube of the highest penetrative power is placed under thetable, with the target pointing in the direction of the gall-bladder, or thepatient may be placed in the ventral position with the tube above. Theshoulders should be elevated, so as to bring the shadow of the gall-bladder outside of the shadow of the lower lobe of the liver.
