An F-86 fighter bearing the markings of the North Carolina Air National Guard, was put back in its position of prominence adjacent to the main gate of the 145th Airlift Wing at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Sept. 29, 2011. The historic airplane had gone in for some maintenance and touch-ups before returning to its perch. )
