Queen's Road West, west of Central, is one of the oldest, least modernised areas of Hong Kong. Everyday Hong Kong street life is seen, with numerous shops selling dried foodstuffs, including seafood. Goods from the shops overflow onto the pavements from the shops and trading houses in the basements of apartment blocks rising above.
