Type: Antique map with original outline colour. The map shows the routes of Lord Macartney (who was appointed the first envoy of Britain to China. He led the Macartney Embassy to Beijing in 1792) and of Lord Amherst (sent in 1816 as ambassador extraordinary to the court of China's Qing Dynasty, with a view of establishing more satisfactory commercial relations between that country and the United Kingdom). The "best green tea district" is marked. The Great Wall of China, with all its tributaries, is marked, along with the "Grand or Imperial Canal".
