Merlin Entertainments & VisitBlackpool teamed up to attempt to break the current World Record which stands at 531 consecutive selfies. Visitors and locals have the chance to head down to the iconic Comedy Carpet in front of the iconic Blackpool Tower, to make history and get selfie snap-happy. Merlin Entertainments & VisitBlackpool teamed up to attempt to break the current World Record which stands at 531 consecutive selfies. Visitors and locals have the chance to head down to the iconic Comedy Carpet in front of the iconic Blackpool Tower, to make history and get selfie snap-happy. The record attempt consists of one person taking their selfie and including the person behind them. They will then pass the camera along for the next person to take a picture. Each person has 60 seconds to take his or her very own Guinness World Record-breaking selfie. The bold stunt is part of the national "Blackpoolsback" campaign for the popular family resort which sees 13 million visits per year. Blackpool: Sunday 30th August 2015.
