Caption: Mobile Laundry Unit No. 3 at Fort Washington, showing the front of the entire unit. In transit, the center floor and center roof are folded up, forming complete sides for the cars. The tractor pulls all four cars when moving between locations. The pipe from the tractor conveys hot water for washers in the trucks, and the belt connects the flywheel on the tractor to the wheel in the corner of the trucks, turning the washers inside.
