Middleton Place Hounds fox hunt is a drag hunt. Drag hunting is a sport in which foxhounds chase a scent that has been dragged over a terrain before the hunt. The hounds and fox hunters on horseback follow the scent as if it was a live animal. Drag hunting is not a blood sport in that no animal is hunted or killed.
