A double-edged blade with fullers and the maker's inscription "Dumouthier" and "Brevet D(?)", side-mounted barrels with smooth bores in 9 mm calibre. Iron grip frame with screwed-on grip panels of grooved dark horn (one with a break) the top quillon finials may be cocked as the hammers for the double percussion ignition.
