The irides also are light coloured; but notwithstanding these sHght deviations, I amincliaed to agree with Mr, Blji;li, who first called my attention to the subject, and considerit as a species of Phcenicornis. Another species of this genus, the P. miniata of authors to which Swaiason, erro-neously I imagine, refers P. hrevirostris, is said by Lesson to have been sent from Bengal,but it was originally described from Java I believe, and is most probably a species peculiarto the Malayan countries.
