Pre-pottery Neolithic archaeological site of Sayburc dating from 11,000 years, under excavation, Sanliurfa Province, South East Turkey

The modern village of Sayburc has been emptied of inhabitants after the discovery by a local man of a carved petroglyph under his house, now demolished. Excavations are ongoing. Previously T shaped pillars were used by local people to build walls so some of the site has been disturbed but now evidence of dwellings dating from 11000 year have been unearthed
