Opening of fallopian tube, endoscope view. This is a view along one fallopian tube from the uterine end, showing the opening of the tube into the uterus. There are two fallopian tubes, which are channels between the ovaries and the uterus. One of the tubes will receive the egg that is released from one of the two ovaries every month. The egg travels along the fallopian tube towards the uterus, where, if fertilised, it will implant and grow.
